Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

1 Corinthians 12:27-31
Dr. Warren Wiersbe summed up the Christian experience like this. “Salvation includes a threefold work: the work God does for us—salvation; the work God does in us—sanctification; the work God does through us—service.”
The Bible often uses the word “through” to describe how God uses us. For example, 2 Corinthians 5:20 says, “We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us” (emphasis added). Think of it this way: In the Gospels, Christ walked on earth in a physical body. His body was literally the body of Christ. But when He returned to heaven, the Church was formed, and one of the names given the Church was the body of Christ. Our Lord’s original body was (and still is) real and physical; but His second body is comprised of Christians everywhere. He works through us to accomplish His work on earth.
Our ministry today is in Christ, who lives and works through us. You don’t have to depend on your own personality or powers of persuasion. Christ will work through you today. You are His ambassador and His body.
Salvation is the good work God does in us when we trust His Son …. God continues His work in us through His Spirit …. This work will continue until we see Christ.
