For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
The best journalists are careful to find trustworthy sources. If a journalist cites incorrect information, their reputation is damaged and the piece is discredited. Wasted are the hours they spent researching, writing, and editing. Although most of our lives will remain off of the printed page and out of the limelight, the principle of selecting credible sources serves as a good reminder.
If journalists are this careful with their printed words, how much more careful should we be with the sources we choose to base our lives upon. As we live out our own stories, we can choose to listen to the world's wisdom or to seek God's wisdom. If we choose the wrong source, our life becomes a dim reflection of what it could be.
We can turn to Christ as our unfailing source because everything was created through Him for His purposes. He never lies and has promised to be with us through every season and for all eternity. As we build our lives upon His truth, we can have confidence in the security and truth of His Word.
Now is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It won't last forever. We must take it or leave it.
